Alparysoft Denoise for VirtualDub

No denoise -leave the source video unchanged (disable filtration).



Interlace video -process with help of deinterlace filter.

Auto detect denoise levels - define automatically the noise level and use the appropriate noise reduction algorithm.

Acceleration (MMX or SSE/3DNow!) - use the processor extensions to speed up the process. At present the fil 454f56e ter is functioning only with the processor with SSE or 3DNow! Extensions (at least Intel Pentium III Celeron or AMD Duron XP)

Process one frame - use the group of filters, reducing the nois on the separate frame. Possible methods of filtration:

1. Low denoise level (by 8 pels) - use two-dimensional extreme filtration algorithm by 8 lines (effective for the low noise video)

2. Middle denoise level (4 pels) - use two-dimensional extreme filtration algorithm by 4 lines (effective for the middle noise video)

3. High denoise level (2h + 2v pixels) - use linear extreme filtration algorithm (effective for the high noise video)

In this option you can specify the level of noise. In this case all local disturbances which do not exceed this limit will be filtered out. You can set the limit from 0-255.

4. Fuzzy denoise -use the image noise reduction algorithm based on fuzzy similarity.

The process of noise specification on the picture is defined by three parameters.

Percent of similarity - degree of confidence to the source video (in per cent). The given range is 0-100.

Homogenous - average quadratic deviation of four points at the part of the video which does not contain distinguishable details. If you set too high value for this parameter, the edges of the image can be blurred.

The given range is 0-100.

Error amplitude - noise dispersion on the source video. The limitation from above for the maximum possible correction. If the value does not suit, the loss of minor details is possible. The given range is 0-255.

Interframe denoising - use of interframe noise-suppressing algorithm. It is most effective for the video with predominance of static scenes. You can change the coefficient of correlation between current and previous frame (treshold). The given range is 0-50.

Use advanced method - use advanced interframe noise-suppressing algorithm. This algorithm use motion compensation algorithm. If advanced method is selected then threshold from "Interframe denoising" is not used. You can change following parameters:

In block threshold - maximum difference between two blocks that define similarity of two blocks.

Max search area - maximum radius of searchig blocks (in pixels).

Min threshold - used for speed up searching blocks. If it lower then searchig faster, but similarity of finded blocks will be lower and vice versa Note: this parameter would be lower than "In block threshold")

Smooth blocks - used for high-noised video for more filtration.

Threshold - controls the alghorithm of smoothing blocks. When it higher then filtration wil be more stronger and vice versa.
