This software enables a user to:
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; Practice the alphabet in a multiple choice format
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; Select an answer using the mouse or keyboard
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; Letters may be displayed in print or script fonts
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; The font name and size of the letters may be changed to any font installed on your computer
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; Select whether Sound is on or off: with the sound on, the letter names will be heard when the mouse is passed over it and cheers will play for a correct answer or a buzzer will play for an incorrect answer
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; Game setting offers single player or 2 player/team play
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Display of total correct, total incorrect, and percentage of correct answers
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Option of sounding a beep for a correct answer
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Smiley face is displayed for a correct answer
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Frowny face is displayed for an incorrect answer
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The user cannot progress to another question until the displayed question is answered correctly
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The user can return to the menu at any time to play a new game or quit the application
§ &nb 19419p158t sp; Multiple Player Options:
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Teams are Blue and Red
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The Blue team always goes first
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The color of the letter and the answer choices changes from Blue to Red to indicate whose turn it is to answer the question
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Letters identified correctly on the first try earn the team 2 points
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The opposing team gets a chance to "steal" if the first team answers incorrectly, to earn 1 point
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Smiley face is displayed for a correct answer
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; Frowny face is displayed for an incorrect answer
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The game cannot progress to another question until the displayed question is answered correctly
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The game ends when one team reaches 21 points
o &nb 19419p158t sp; &nb 19419p158t sp; The users can return to the menu at any time to play a new game or quit the application

Installation:
Downloaded from the Web
1. &nb 19419p158t sp; Unzip the downloaded files to a new folder.
2. &nb 19419p158t sp; Create a shortcut on the desktop to ABCs With Smiles.exe in the new folder.
3. &nb 19419p158t sp; Double-click the new shortcut to run the application.
Install from CD
1. &nb 19419p158t sp; Select Run from the Start Menu.
2. &nb 19419p158t sp; Browse your CD-ROM drive to select the Setup.exe file and open it.
3. &nb 19419p158t sp; Click OK on the Run dialog box and follow the instructions to install the software.
Downloaded from the Web
1. &nb 19419p158t sp; Delete the folder the application was saved to.
Installed from CD
1. &nb 19419p158t sp; Select Settings from the Start Menu.
2. &nb 19419p158t sp; Select Control Panel from the menu.
3. &nb 19419p158t sp; Double-Click on Add/Remove Programs
4. &nb 19419p158t sp; Click ABCs With Smiles in the listbox (you may need to use the scroll bar).
5. &nb 19419p158t sp; Click the Add/Remove button and confirm that you want to uninstall the software.
