Abstract - Summary
Quantity of BEST public events i 424j922e s currently a hot topic discussed and furthermore it is a board goal having priority. The quantity team is trying to find ways to increase the number of students benefiting from our external services. . As the result of the decision taken in the Summer Meeting, the Flexibility Project was merged into Quantity and it is seen as one of the main tools needed to proceed in "Quantity Project".
By developing flexibility tool, we aim to make it easier for LBGs to organise more BEST events. We hope to fulfil this aim by making our current seasonal system more flexible for LBGs, meaning less strict deadlines than currently or deadlines closer to the actual event than with the current situation.
Flexibility is mainly focused on non-optimised events and increasing the flexibility for these. The reason for this is because these events do not go through the optimisation process each season. And therefore do not need the same kind of deadlines as the other events do.
As for the events going through the optimisation, there is a limit to how flexible the deadlines can be. But the deadline for announcing events doesn't have to be so early for these events. We have all seen time and time again that most students apply to our courses very close to the application deadline. And a course announced for instance 2-3 weeks before this deadline would most likely not be affected by the late announcement
